Job Title: Cash Management Associate

Department: Accounting

Reports to: Director of Cash Management

Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Director of Cash Management, the Cash Management Associate will be responsible for handling the cash process for assigned aspects of Redwood and providing back up to all core cash functions in the absence of the Director. As such, you will be expected to act as a Redwood brand ambassador, promote our brand and provide the best resident experience possible.

All Redwood employees are expected to conduct all organizational business and practices in accordance with Redwood company policies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Closely manage the Cash Management email inbox.

· Administer cash management operations for Redwood and all separate operating accounts.

· Perform Daily Cash Administration to ensure timely and accurate recording of cash transactions, wires, ACH’s and bank account balances.

· Maintain Daily Spreadsheet Tracker ensuring all entries, duplicate payments, and failed receipts to Yardi are recorded.

· Receive and report all incoming wire transfers and process outgoing wire transfers requests.

· Perform online banking duties to include cash disbursements, receipts, and transfers.

· Manage and process credit card disputes.

· Process all NSF, return notifications, and Notifications of Change types according to policy guidelines.

· Perform stop payments and voids, accordingly, check inquiries and proofs of payment per request.

· Perform monthly bank account reconciliations and other monthly closing activities for cash as needed or assigned.

· Review RM Charge Request Reports to track and record all bank fees for property charge backs.

· Report daily AR deposits to provide checkpoint for AR to review discrepancies.

· Outstanding check maintenance as assigned.

· Maintain complete and organized workpaper documentation for all required cash management processes, including trackers.

· Serve as an assistant to the Director for all cash management functions.

· In the absence of the Director, assist with Fraud Management and Neighborhood field requests.

· All other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications, Education & Certifications

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· Associate degree in accounting (considered a plus).

· Must have solid knowledge through experience of financial management processes.

· 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting (AR, GL staff, or AP), or cash applications/treasury/banking preferred.

· Experience in real estate, property management, construction, or development is highly preferred.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office to includeexcel, outlook and word.

· General computer proficiency a must.

Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment. In this role, the employee will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, headphones, photocopiers, etc. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, and walk with the ability to lift 20 pounds where applicable.
